Back in August, 181 of you pushed X-Series Season 97 Part 2: Enter the Lagunaverse to $24,383 on BackerKit, 488% of what we asked for. You watched the X-Academy episodes, voted the story forward, and unlocked piece after piece of merch along the way. Now the rest of the world gets to catch up: the Season 97 X-Series lineup is live on the Laguna Studios store, ready to order today.
You made this happen
Every design in this drop exists because a backer pledged for it, voted for it, or shared the campaign with a friend who did. The X-Academy story only went where it went because you steered it, and every vote unlocked something new. So before anything else: thank you.
The art came from a team of thirteen, including several School of Comics students and interns who earned their first professional credits on this campaign. When you buy from this collection, you're backing indie artists in San Antonio, not a faceless print shop.
What's in the drop
- 13 new zip-up hoodies ($79.95): Queen of Frost, Psychic Ninja, Gene Gray, Weather Witch II, 90s Chaos, Madam Magnet, The Gathering, Battletrail, Kinetic Gambler II, Southern Sugah II, Spirit Biker, Weapon Ecks and Doc Steve. All-over print on soft recycled fleece with a double-lined hood.
- 8 new track jackets ($84.95): Sleet Dude, Biclops II, Atomic Sparkles, Sundot, Short Blast, Mr. Ominous, Battletrail and Captain Recycle.
- X-Buddies crossbody bags ($35): 25 parody bags with art on the front and back, inside and outside pockets, an adjustable strap and a water-resistant build. Big enough for your phone, keys and con-day essentials.
- X-Series Gear: the Southern Sugah and Titan gym bags ($74.95), Kinetic Gambler athletic shoes ($74.95), Blue BAMF workout shorts ($59.95) and the Spirit Rider 3/4 sleeve raglan ($29.95).

Halloween costume, solved
Here's the thing about the X-Series: it's basically wearable cosplay. Every hoodie and jacket is a full-color, head-to-toe nod to a 90s Saturday-morning hero, so a zip-up and a pair of jeans already reads as a costume from across the room. Add the matching X-Buddy on your hip and you're done.
Got a crew? Split up the team. Grab the icy one, the storm one, the clawed one and the card-throwing one, and you've got a group costume nobody else at the party will have. It also beats a one-night polyester costume, because you'll still be wearing this hoodie in January.
One honest note on timing: everything in this collection is printed to order, one piece at a time. If you want yours by Halloween, order soon to leave room for production and shipping.
A quick note on fit
Each product page has its own size chart. Hoodies and jackets run in a relaxed unisex fit, so check the chart before you pick a size.
Backers, thank you again
