I started out studying biochemistry and applied zoology, but after my dad passed I threw myself into art and never looked back. Today Laguna Studios is one of very few female-owned comic book publishers in the country, and I'm proud of it. We were told at the start that nobody reads anything not made solely for straight, white men. We pushed on anyway β because it's life-changing to see yourself in the pages.
